Westhampton Beach Elementary School students have embarked on a mission to show gratitude to Major William Robesch, the father of fourth grader Catherine Robesch and third grader Claire Robesch. Major Robesch is currently serving in the U.S. Air Force overseas.

To bring some cheer to Major Robesch and his fellow airmen during the holiday season, two third grade classes are collecting snacks to mail. They are asking for donations of beef jerky, Life Savers candies, nuts, gum, dried fruit, individually packaged cookies and Pringles. Donations are needed by Monday, Nov. 30 and can be delivered to Westhampton Beach Elementary School.
