Dianne Gobler’s science students at Westhampton Beach High School observed trained surgeons from Saint Barnabas Medical Center in Livingston, New Jersey, perform a live kidney transplant on June 11. The virtual experience, made possible through the Liberty Science Center, allowed the students to ask questions and hear from the surgeons, not unlike the observations regularly done by medical students.
