Westhampton Beach students win VFW essay contests

Six Westhampton Beach School District students have been named local winners in the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 535’s annual essay contests. They were presented with certificates of achievement at an awards ceremony on Jan. 25.

Middle school students Regan Moran, Jordan Razzano and Adelina Scott penned winning essays for the Patriots Pen contest that carried the theme of “How are you inspired by democracy?”

High school students Ava Borruso, Sam Sarocky and Jack Stalters earned accolades for their Voice of Democracy essays that addressed the question, “What are the greatest attributes of our democracy?

The Westhampton Beach School District congratulates the essayists on a job well done.
