Dear Westhampton Beach School Community,

Thank you for such a successful first week back to learning. It was wonderful to see the children in our school buildings again after such a long absence. Our administration, faculty and staff have done an amazing job ensuring our students have a safe and healthy environment to learn in. I’m sure there will be a few challenges ahead of us, but as long as we work together as a community, we can navigate anything.

As you may be aware, following more than 17 years in our district, the last nine as superintendent of schools, the Board officially accepted the resignation for retirement of Mr. Michael Radday, effective August 17, 2021. We thank Mr. Radday for his years of dedication to the Westhampton Beach schools and community.

To assist in our search for the next leader of our school district, the Board of Education has contracted with Eastern Suffolk BOCES. We are searching for an experienced educational leader with a strong commitment to academic excellence who possesses outstanding communication and innovative leadership skills.

As we move through this process, we will seek feedback from our community on the values and skills they prioritize in our future leader. It is important that we work in collaboration to find the superintendent of schools who will build on our already strong educational community.

As always, thank you for your continued support of our schools and students.

Warm Regards,
Suzanne M. Mensch
Board of Education President
Westhampton Beach School District
