Conductor, Eric Rubinstein, is currently on the faculty at Westhampton Beach High School where he is responsible for the Chamber Singers, Concert Choir, Symphonic Choir, and the Music Theory sequence (Theory 1 & Advanced Placement). Under Mr. Rubinstein’s leadership, the Westhampton Beach High School Chamber Singers have performed throughout Long Island and have earned great accolades for their high caliber singing.
Mr. Rubinstein is also on the faculty at the New York State Summer School of the Arts (NYSSSA) School of Choral Studies and has previously worked at Stagedoor Manor Performing Arts Training Center and Monticello High School. Choirs under Mr. Rubinstein's direction have earned NYSSMA Gold with Distinction ratings as well as other great honors & awards, been aired on radio broadcast and have been featured on performance tours of Europe. He has also guest conducted such ensembles as the Chautauqua Children’s Chorale, the SUNY Fredonia Chamber Singers and the Houghton College Chorale.
Mr. Rubinstein holds a B.M. in Music Education and Dance from SUNY Fredonia and a M.M. in Choral Conducting from Michigan State University. He has studied conducting with Dr. David Rayl, Dr. Jonathan Reed, Dr. Donald Lang and his most influential mentor, Dr. Brady Allred.
